The story
From carpentry to our own production
Before founding WK Houtprodukten, William Kruithof worked at Van Keulen Interieurbouw. With that experience behind him he started out on his own in 2007, at first doing general carpentry.
About four years later came the decision to specialise in stair renovation. That was a turning point: there turned out to be a real demand for high quality material, and that material was simply not available.
So we started making it ourselves. Solid oak parts first. In 2018 PVC stair treads were added, which let us offer a far wider range of solutions. The mission has not changed since: top quality for every project.

How we work
Craft with modern machines
We combine traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. Our production runs energy neutral, which means we use no net energy and the ecological footprint of every panel stays as small as possible.
In practice it mostly means this: every order passes through the same hands, in the same hall. That keeps the colour the same, the dimensions the same and the delivery time predictable.
